There is nothing our Avery likes more right now, than the beach (except maybe our trashcans and toilets which come in a near 2nd and 3rd). She is having too much fun!

The Best Dad!

In honor of the upcoming holiday: Father's Day, Avery has the best dad in the world! More beach pics and our trip to Cape May to come! Post processing with warm sunshine action and creamy b&w. PS Avery loved sitting in the water. At first she was worried but then she did not want to get up!

Memorial Day Weekend

Here we are in Brigantine, NJ for Memorial Day weekend. Not Avery's first trip to the beach but she was really little the last time. Found her first seashell, used the bucket & shovel, and wore lots of sunscreen. She got her hands and feet in the sand. But she was very picky about which sand she preferred. Not too dry, not too wet, just damp. Ofcourse she could walk the fastest on the damp sand. Perfect for low tide. As you can see she is ready to take off on her own. Just since we've been home, Monday, she's only holding one hand and has a much steadier balance. I am really not sure I am ready for this. After all the things in my house she is getting into . . . look out world.

Some 11 month milestone:

*she eats what we eat and vice versa - for the most part.

*almost walking solo

*imitation skills

*her version of dada & mama

*lots of new friends in the neighborhood, at the Y and 'round town. She makes friends everywhere

*can move very fast via crawl when she sees an open gate

*has gotten into things that I am too embarrassed to write here

*likes to dance to ABBA

*4 teeth

*loves pizza

*likes icecream

Labor Day Weekend

We decided to go down by the ocean on an early evening! It is hard waiting til I am old enough to build a sandcastle! Hence the new song I added to my tunes by Tom Petty. The weather was cool & sunny. I first posed w/ mom, then dad, then I tested out the sand! Check out my sandy feet! We are one big happy family!! xoxo Avery

My first trip to the beach!

We went to the beach on Sat eve around 6:30 to beat the crowds, direct sun & heat. I am a bit in awe of the new sights, sounds & smells so I am going to keep my eyes closed as much as possible; it's also a bit sunny and they don't make shades in my size yet. I will be a self-proclaimed beach bum before you know it - my parents started me early - in the love of the saltwater.

32 Weeks

Baby loved her first taste of salty air!! I think we may have a beach baby!! More updates to come as the nursery finally takes shape.
