Memorial Day Weekend

Here we are in Brigantine, NJ for Memorial Day weekend. Not Avery's first trip to the beach but she was really little the last time. Found her first seashell, used the bucket & shovel, and wore lots of sunscreen. She got her hands and feet in the sand. But she was very picky about which sand she preferred. Not too dry, not too wet, just damp. Ofcourse she could walk the fastest on the damp sand. Perfect for low tide. As you can see she is ready to take off on her own. Just since we've been home, Monday, she's only holding one hand and has a much steadier balance. I am really not sure I am ready for this. After all the things in my house she is getting into . . . look out world.

Some 11 month milestone:

*she eats what we eat and vice versa - for the most part.

*almost walking solo

*imitation skills

*her version of dada & mama

*lots of new friends in the neighborhood, at the Y and 'round town. She makes friends everywhere

*can move very fast via crawl when she sees an open gate

*has gotten into things that I am too embarrassed to write here

*likes to dance to ABBA

*4 teeth

*loves pizza

*likes icecream
