Taxation without representation
Today's top injustices. 1) "Wife says $43 million isn't enough." In divorce settlement wife wants more than $53,000 per week to live. That's a lot of money!! 2) It's time to take up smoking! That's right people! Either my husband or I are going to start, hence the 1970's advertisement print for Virginia Slims. Here's our motivating story: my husband found out today that his employer is going to be increasing the pay rate for spouses who do not have their own health coverage. Guess what this means? If you have a family and your spouse is either a SAHM or works part time you will pay {drum roll} an extra $50 a pay period, this is assuming they do not have another employer to pay their healthcare coverage! Do the math: $100 a month or $1200 a year!! All other employees get an ave. $1.50 pay period increase. Wow. There is a pretty high increase if you are a smoker as well. But, if you are a smoker and you enroll in the quit smoking support group, over a period of a year ~ you get your increase back. It only takes 21 days to form a habit so I could try it out. I wonder if I you have diminished ovarian reserve, each month you lose an egg you can get some of your increase back . . . you are less likely to have more kiddos? Maybe with the pill you can qualify for some assistance? I wonder if I can put God as my employer on the paperwork? Sigh, I'm going to go get some tea and throw it overboard. Would you like a cigarette with that?
